Ukraine retains the sovereign right to take all measures necessary to ensure the security and integrity of its electoral process, recognising that any undue haste in holding elections under the present circumstances may undermine the rule of law and democratic principles."
The amendment aims to reduce external pressure on Ukraine in the context of elections and to minimise attempts by the Russian Federation to exploit this topic to advance its military objectives.
