In the draft resolution, paragraph 5, delete the following words:

“that acknowledge and provide non-discriminatory treatment to all families”

Explanatory note

The amendment aims to remove the reference to “all families”, as this broad wording may weaken the focus of policies on protecting and strengthening family as a stable social institution. Policies should focus on family structure and its role in producing children and supporting population growth.
