The Committee on Population and Refugees has carefully considered the draft Recommendation presented by the Committee on Cultural and Scientific Questions (Doc. 474) concerning the moral readaptation of young refugees from behind the Iron Curtain.
It is of the opinion that the problem dealt with in this Recommendation falls completely within the framework of the policy which has always been pursued by the Council of Europe in the field of refugees.
It also considers that the moral re-adaptation of young refugees from behind the Iron Curtain is a task which engages European responsibility.
The Committee on Population and Refugees therefore gives a favourable opinion with regard to the draft Recommendation, (Doc. 474), submitted to it.
