Recognising that t h e spirit of man will always rise superior t o oppression;
Deeply moved by the humantragedy now developingin E a s t e r n a n d C e n t r a l E u r o p e,
E x p r e s s e s , on this day 25th October 1956, its a d m i r a t i o n and s y m p a t h y for all t h o s e who, a t t h i s t i m e , are suffering a n d dying i n order t h a t t h e t o r c h of freedom shall n o t be e x t i n g u i s h e d .
