PACE discusses situation in Ukraine, reconsiders Russian credentials

When adopting its final agenda at the opening of its plenary session, the Assembly decided to hold an urgent debate on threats to the functioning of democratic institutions in Ukraine, on Wednesday 9 April at 3.30 p.m. and to debate a request to reconsider the already ratified credentials of the delegation of the Russian Federation on substantive grounds (under Rule 9 of the Rules of Procedure), on Thursday 10 at 10 a.m..

Other highlights on the draft agenda include an address by the President of Austria and a decision on granting partner for democracy status to the Kyrgyz Parliament, as well as a report on prostitution, trafficking and modern slavery in Europe.

The Assembly will also discuss the annual activity report by the Commissioner for Human Rights and hold a debate on user protection and security in cyberspace as well as the right to Internet access.
