The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe held this morning a free debate on current issues not included in the session agenda. Sixteen parliamentarians took the floor.
Chiora Taktakishvili (Georgia, ALDE), the first speaker, evoked the need to further protect religious minority rights and the possibility of establishing a general rapporteurship in the Assembly, on the issue of freedom of religion and the protection of religious minority rights.
