Liliane Maury Pasquier has been unanimously elected President of the Socialist Group of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), succeeding Michele Nicoletti, who was elected President of the Assembly.
A Swiss Member to the Assembly since 2008, Liliane Maury Pasquier has been, among other things, President of the Swiss delegation and was Chair of the PACE Rules Committee from 2016 to 2018.
