So, in the meantime, I would like to thank all my colleagues whose speeches I have listened attentively to, and I can say with gratitude that the work done by my colleague Mr Ian LIDDELL-GRAINGER as rapporteur has been appreciated and that this Report has been met with unanimous approval.
Let me make a few notes.
I thank my colleague Zsolt NÉMETH, because he brought to the attention of the Assembly a fact that could not be on the Report because it happened last week; that of the conviction of our colleague Oleksii GONCHARENKO, sentenced to 10 years in prison by a Russian court in absentia. This is truly unprecedented, and I support what the Assembly president has already said in a tweet because it is another act to be deplored, but it also confirms the good work that is being done by this institution.
The work will be continued. In fact, my colleague Mr Iulian BULAI also mentioned Vladimir Kara-Murza, and just this morning the Bureau ratified the terms of the new general rapporteur on the Russian opposition. So the situation of Vladimir Kara-Murza and other human rights activists in Russia will be the focus of the new rapporteur's work.
To conclude, recalling what my colleague Stefan SCHENNACH said who mentioned the peace summit that was held in Switzerland, I would like to mention that our Secretary General Marija PEJČINOVIĆ-BURIĆ participated in that summit, and she made a very articulate speech, where I like to emphasize her expressed sensitivity with respect to the situation of Ukrainian children. So, after what we have also said today at the Bureau, let me also here in the Assembly thank Ms Marija PEJČINOVIĆ-BURIĆ for the work that she has done, because she has held this role in probably the most difficult years that this institution has experienced. Including the period of the pandemic and the wars that came back to Europe, something that my generation thought they would never see.
So, thanking all the colleagues for the work this morning and this afternoon, which shows that beyond the sensitivities that sometimes divide us, we can find a path to take forward together, which is the role of this institution, and is a very beautiful role of defending democracy, the rule of law, human rights. I want to once again salute and thank Ms Marija PEJČINOVIĆ-BURIĆ because she brought perhaps a feminine touch and also a feminine sensibility that this institution in these years particularly needed.
And again I thank all of my colleagues and wish us all good work.

Je voudrais remercier tous mes collègues dont j'ai écouté attentivement les interventions, et je peux dire avec gratitude que le travail effectué par mon collègue Ian LIDDELL-GRAINGER en tant que rapporteur a été apprécié et que ce rapport a fait l'objet d'un consensus.
Permettez-moi de faire quelques remarques.
Je remercie mon collègue Zsolt NÉMETH qui a attiré l'attention de l'Assemblée sur un fait qui ne pouvait pas figurer dans le rapport parce qu'il s'est produit la semaine dernière, à savoir la condamnation de notre collègue Oleksii GONCHARENKO, condamné à 10 ans de prison par un tribunal russe par contumace. C'est vraiment sans précédent et je soutiens ce que le Président de l'Assemblée a déjà dit dans un tweet ; c'est un autre acte à déplorer, mais qui confirme également le bon travail effectué par cette institution.
Ce travail se poursuivra. En fait, mon collègue Iulian BULAI a également mentionné Vladimir Kara-Murza et, pas plus tard que ce matin, le Bureau a ratifié le mandat du nouveau rapporteur général sur la Russie. La situation de Vladimir Kara-Murza et d'autres militants des droits de l'homme en Russie sera donc au centre du travail du nouveau rapporteur.
Pour conclure, pour rappeler ce qu'a dit mon collègue Stefan SCHENNACH à propos du Sommet sur la paix qui s'est tenu en Suisse, je voudrais mentionner que notre Secrétaire Générale Marija PEJČINOVIĆ-BURIĆ a participé à ce sommet et a prononcé un discours très articulé, dans lequel je voudrais souligner la sensibilité qu'elle a exprimée à l'égard de la situation des enfants ukrainiens. Ainsi, après ce que nous avons dit au Bureau aujourd'hui, permettez-moi de remercier Mme Marija PEJČINOVIĆ-BURIĆ ici dans l'Assemblée pour le travail qu'elle a accompli, parce qu'elle a tenu ce rôle dans les années probablement les plus difficiles que cette institution ait connues, entre la période de la pandémie et les guerres qui sont revenues en Europe, choses que ma génération ne pensait jamais voir.
Je voudrais remercier tous mes collègues pour leur travail de ce matin et de cet après-midi : ce dernier montre qu'au-delà des sensibilités qui parfois nous divisent, nous pouvons quand même trouver un chemin ensemble dans ce qui est le rôle de cette institution, un très beau rôle de défense de la démocratie, de l'État de droit et des droits de l'homme.
Je voudrais encore une fois saluer et remercier Mme Marija PEJČINOVIĆ-BURIĆ parce qu'elle a peut-être apporté une touche de féminité et de sensibilité, dont cette institution avait particulièrement besoin en cette période.
Je remercie à nouveau tous mes collègues et nous souhaite à tous de bons travaux cette semaine.

Allora, intanto ringrazio tutti i colleghi di cui ho ascoltato attentamente gli interventi e posso dire con gratitudine che è stato apprezzato il lavoro svolto dal collega Ian LIDDELL-GRAINGER come relatore e che questo report è stato accolto da un unanime consenso.
Mi permetto alcune note.
Ringrazio il collega Zsolt NÉMETH perché ha portato all'attenzione dell'assemblea un fatto che non poteva essere sul report perché è accaduto la settimana scorsa, questo della condanna del collega Oleksii GONCHARENKO, condanna a 10 anni di carcere da un tribunale Russo in contumacia. È una cosa veramente senza precedenti e mi sento di supportare quanto detto dal presidente dell'assemblea che si è già espresso in un tweet perché è un altro atto da deplorare, ma che conferma anche la bontà del lavoro che viene fatto da questa istituzione.
Si continuerà a lavorare. Difatti il collega Iulian BULAI ha ricordato anche Vladimir Kara-Murza, e proprio questa mattina il Bureau ha ratificato i termini del nuovo relatore generale sull'opposizione russa. Quindi la situazione di Vladimir Kara-Murza e degli altri attivisti per i diritti umani in Russia sarà al centro del lavoro del nuovo relatore.
Per concludere, ricordando quanto ha detto il collega Stefan SCHENNACH che ha ricordato il vertice sulla pace che si è tenuto in Svizzera, vorrei ricordare che ha quel vertice ha partecipato la nostra segretaria generale Marija PEJČINOVIĆ-BURIĆ, che ha fatto un intervento molto articolato, dove mi piace sottolineare la sua sensibilità espressa rispetto alla situazione dei bambini ucraini. Quindi, dopo quanto abbiamo detto anche oggi al Bureau, permettetemi anche qui in assemblea di ringraziare Marija PEJČINOVIĆ-BURIĆ per il lavoro che ha svolto, perché ha ricoperto questo ruolo probabilmente negli anni più difficili che ha vissuto questa istituzione. Compreso il periodo della pandemia, delle guerre che sono ritornate in Europa, cosa che la mia generazione pensava di non vedere mai.
Allora ringraziando tutti i colleghi per il lavoro di questa questa mattina e di questo pomeriggio, che dimostra che al di là delle sensibilità che a volte ci dividono, comunque possiamo trovare un percorso per portare avanti insieme quello che è il ruolo di questa istituzione, che ricorda un ruolo molto bello di difesa della democrazia, dello stato di diritto, dei diritti umani, voglio ancora una volta salutare e ringraziare Marija PEJČINOVIĆ-BURIĆ perché ha portato forse un tocco e anche una sensibilità femminile di cui questa istituzione in questi anni aveva particolarmente bisogno.
E ringrazio ancora tutti quanti i colleghi e auguro a tutti noi buon lavoro.
