Thank you, Secretary General. You attended the Bled Strategic Forum a few weeks ago and are closely monitoring the situation in the Balkans. On the one hand, the Balkans are undergoing a process of European integration, which has, however, been dragging on for many years without reaching a conclusion; on the other hand, we are witnessing new conflicts and renewed ethnic tensions in the region.

Now, how do you think we can prevent new conflicts from breaking out and, at the same time, help to speed up the process of European integration?

Vous étiez, il y a quelques semaines, au Forum de Bled, et vous suivez de très près la situation dans les Balkans. D’un côté, les pays des Balkans sont engagés depuis de nombreuses années dans un processus d’intégration européenne qui peine encore à aboutir ; de l’autre, nous assistons à de nouvelles tensions et à de nouveaux conflits ethniques dans la région.

Comment pensez-vous que nous puissions, à la fois, prévenir l’éclatement de nouveaux conflits et contribuer à accélérer le processus d’intégration européenne ?

Grazie, Segretario Generale. Lei è stato qualche settimana fa al Forum di Bled e si occupa con grande intensità della situazione nei Balcani. I Balcani sono, da un lato, dentro un processo di integrazione europea, che però dura da molti anni senza arrivare ad esito e, dall'altra parte, noi assistiamo a nuovi conflitti, nuove spinte etniche nella regione.

Ora, come pensa che noi possiamo evitare l'esplodere di nuovi conflitti e, al tempo stesso, concorrere a un'accelerazione del processo di integrazione europeo?
