Examination of credentials of Representatives and Substitutes

1. In
accordance with Rule 6, paragraphs 1 and 4, of the Rules of Procedure,
the President of the Assembly has received the credentials of representatives
and substitutes for the second part of the 2009 Ordinary Session
of the Assembly, which have been transmitted in due form by the
competent authorities of member states.
2. The Assembly is called upon to express its decision on the
ratification of the credentials of the representatives and substitutes
whose names are given below.
3. Armenia has appointed
one new representative to replace Mr Raffi Hovannisian who has resigned.
4. Cyprus has appointed
one new substitute to replace Mr Andros Kyprianou who has resigned; Mrs Antigoni
Papadopoulos becomes representative.
5. Denmark has appointed
one new substitute to replace Mr Flemming Damgaard Larsen who has resigned.
6. Georgia has appointed
one new substitute to replace Mr Mikheil Matchavariani who has resigned.
7. Following parliamentary elections, Liechtenstein has
appointed a new delegation.
8. Following parliamentary elections, Romania has
appointed a new delegation.
9. Slovenia has appointed
a new representative to replace Ms Majda Potrata who has resigned,
as well as three new substitutes to fill the three vacant seats;
M. Jacob Presečnik has become representative.
10. Within the United Kingdom delegation,
Mr Paul Rowen has become a representative and Lord Chidgey has become
a substitute.
11. In the case of objection or justified contestation, the contested
credentials shall be referred without debate to the appropriate
committee which shall report back to the Assembly, in accordance
with Rules 7 and 8 of the Rules of Procedure.
