1. The Assembly refers to its
Resolution 1057 (1995) on the activities of the Bretton Woods institutions (World Bank and International Monetary Fund).
2. Since a large part of the funding of the Bretton Woods institutions comes from the Council of Europe member states, the Assembly wishes to strengthen its co-operation with them and to monitor their activities and policies, and for this purpose invites its Committee on Economic Affairs and Development to report on this subject at regular intervals.
