1950, at the conclusion of the Debate of the second Report of the
Committee on General Affairs (see Doc. AS (2) 107 and Sitting of
28th August 1950).
The Assembly adopts the following Resolution:
i That the Standing Committee shall
select from among the Resolutions passed by the Assembly those which
are of most general application and whose adoption it regards as
most important or urgent.
ii That such Resolutions shall be communicated to the Governments
of all Member States of the Council of Europe and to all Members
of Parliaments of these States.
iii That Members of the Consultative Assembly undertake to
do their utmost to secure that such Resolutions, selected by the
Standing Committee, shall as quickly as possible be presented to
their respective Parliaments for discussion.
iv That the Members of the Consultative Assembly who have
voted for these Resolutions in the Assembly undertake to use their
best endeavours to ensure their adoption by their respective Parliaments.
