Reply to the Report of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees

Resolution 17 (1952)

Author(s):
Parliamentary Assembly
Origin
This Resolution was adopted by the Assembly at its Twenty-second Sitting, 26th September, 1052 (see Doc. 67, Report of the Committee on Population and Refugees).

The Assembly has studied with great interest the report submitted to it by the United Nations High Commissioner. It wishes to thank the United Nations High Commissioner for his action, which it greatly appreciates.

It is convinced that the continuance of this practice in the future will establish a valuable link between the High Commissioner and the Council of Europe.

The Assembly notes with considerable satisfaction the extensive activities undertaken by the High Commissioner, and is convinced that its Committee on Population and Refugees will continue to follow the progress of his work with keen attention, in a spirit of co-operation, and in the best interests of the refugees.
