Human rights in the armed forces

During the second sitting of the 2014 ordinary part-session of the Parliamentary Assembly, the Chairman of the Committee of Ministers informed the Assembly that the process of evaluation of Recommendation 1742 (2006) of the Assembly on Human Rights of members of the armed forces is not yet complete.

Mr De Vries,

To ask the Committee of Ministers,

• what are the reasons why the Committee of Ministers, having a final evaluation before it, could not complete the process;
• when is a decision of the Committee of Ministers to be expected?
