In the draft recommendation, after paragraph 4.3, insert the following paragraph:

"reiterate the point that defeating the terrorist group known as "IS" (DAESH in Arabic) and reinstating peace and stability in Syria will not be possible without ending the ongoing conflict through a political transition process."

Explanatory note

Defeating DAESH, fighting effectively against terrorism and reinstating peace and stability in Syria will be possible through a political transition process. As the report thoroughly identifies the root causes of the foreign fighters issue, it should be possible to identify the political solution.
