1 Report of the
Committee on the Election of Judges to the European Court of Human
Rights
The Committee held a meeting in Paris on 6 April 2017 with
Mr Boriss Cilevičs (Latvia, SOC) in the Chair.
2 Introduction
The Committee on the Election of Judges to the European Court
of Human Rights assessed the list of the candidates to the Court
in respect of Albania.Note
3 Conclusion of
the Committee on the list of candidates submitted by Albania
The Committee interviewed all the candidates on 6 April 2017.
As not all candidates are sufficiently well qualified, the
Committee recommends that the list be rejected by the Assembly and
that the Government of Albania be requested to submit a new list
of candidates.
