In the draft resolution, paragraph 9.2.3, second sentence, delete the following words:

"but nonetheless urges them to take more resolute and credible action to investigate thoroughly serious allegations of ill-treatment and torture."

Explanatory note

Türkiye closely cooperates with the CPT. A comprehensive set of legislation has been introduced with a view to implementing the recommendations of the CPT in order to prevent, investigate, prosecute and punish all acts of torture and ill-treatment.
