The Assembly,
Recognising that M . Spaak, both at the time of explaining the reasons for his recent resignation and of his intervention in the debate on the draft New Statute, has faced the Assembly with a political problem, the examination of which can no longer be avoided,
In order that the debate thereby initiated may be successfully continued,
Decides to include in its Agenda the following item :
" Aims and Prospects of European Policy within the framework of the Council of Europe, "
and to place it at the head of the Agenda of the next Session,
and instructs the Committee on General Affairs to assemble forthwith the material necessary for the preparation of this debate.
