The Assembly,
Considering the desirability of as full an international circulation as possible of books, objects of art and all media of information or education,
Considering that, to this end, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation has recommended to its Member States the ratification of an Agreement (bearing the date of 31st July, 1950) on the Importation of Educational, Scientific and Cultural Materials, and that that Convention will come into force on ratification by ten Member States.
Decides to include in its Agenda the following question :
"Means of encouraging the international circulation of books, objects of art and all media of information or education".
