The Parliamentary Assembly has decided to waive the immunity of Mr. Marcin Romanowski, following a request from the Public Prosecutor General of Poland. This decision is based on the understanding that the alleged offenses do not relate to his duties as an Assembly member and that his prosecution would not hinder the Assembly's functioning. The Assembly emphasizes the importance of a fair and impartial legal process, in line with national law and the European Convention on Human Rights. The president of the Assembly is instructed to communicate this decision to the relevant Polish authorities and Mr. Romanowski.
