The Parliamentary Assembly calls for urgent action to address the humanitarian crisis affecting migrants in European waters, emphasising the importance of adhering to international maritime and humanitarian law. It strongly encourages the Committee of Ministers to facilitate the completion and implementation of the forthcoming action plan on migration and refugees (2026-2029), ensuring it provides member States with the necessary guidance and support for protecting human rights during border control activities. The Assembly further urges consideration of the specific challenges faced by Tunisia regarding migrant crises and the protection of fundamental rights in collaborative activities with the country.
