1. Referring to its Recommendations 934 (1982) and 1046 (1986), its Order No. 432 (1986) and its Recommendation 1100 (1989),

2. Instructs its competent committees - that is, the Social, Health and Family Affairs Committee, the Legal Affairs Committee and the Committee on Science and Technology - to follow closely future developments regarding the treatment of embryos and foetuses and regarding bio-ethics in general, particularly in relation to the intergovernmental work of the Council of Europe, and to report to the Assembly in due course.
