The Assembly,

Considering that in the U.S.S.R. the Communist - controlled radio only provides the people with propaganda and news which intentionally suppresses or distorts the truth ;

Considering that the Russian people are clearly anxious for objective news about world events,

Recommends Member Governments to encourage the broadcasting organisations in Member States to devote each day a few minutes to broadcasting in Russian factual news bulletins on the events of the day likely to be of particular interest to the people of the U.S.S.R. ; and

Requests Member Governments to inform the Assembly at an early date of the steps taken in pursuance of this Resolution.
