Welcomes the signature of the Treaty establishing a European Coal and Steel Community :

Notes with satisfaction the provisions for linking the activities of the Community with the Council of Europe :

Strongly recommends the Parliaments concerned to ratify the Treaty as soon as possible,

Expresses the hope that, as soon as the High Authority is set up, the United Kingdom and other interested countries will examine the possibility of negotiating a working agreement with the Authority which will lead to the effective coordination of their respective activities.
