"accelerate their efforts to revise the 1990 Cairo Declaration;"

Explanatory note

On 27-28 May in Kuwait, the OIC Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission (IPHRC) reviewed the Cairo Declaration in comparison with existing universal human rights instruments. IPHRC, based on this comparative study, drafted a revised text titled 'the OIC Declaration on Human Rights' and submitted it for consideration of the member State.
