In the draft resolution, paragraph 9.5, delete the words:

"not discriminate between citizens on the basis of the way in which they have acquired nationality, in order to"

Explanatory note

It is legitimate to call on Member States to avoid any form of indirect discrimination against minorities in their procedures for deprivation of nationality, but not to call into question the procedure applying only to persons who acquired nationality after birth.
