The Assembly recommends that, in order to ensure the rapid clearing of exportable surpluses and to assist in the development of trade between the Member States of the Council of Europe, the Committee on Economic Questions should examine the advisability of co-operation with O. E. E. C. in setting up a Commodity Clearing Information Centre whose purpose would be the supplying of information on the exportable surplus and the import requirements of the various States.
