The Consultative Assembly,
Taking into account the declaration contained in Article 23 (b) of the Statute according to which, when taking decisions the Committee shall have regard to "the work of other European intergovernmental organisations to which some or all of the Members of the Council are parties," and realising that a comprehensive discussion on the economic problems of Europe can not take place without a previous report from the political and technical organisations responsible for the policy of 0. E. E. C,
Recommends the summoning of an extraordinary Session of the Assembly in January 1950 to discuss the policy of 0. E. E. C, at which Ministers of the Member States of the Council of Europe, representing the various countries within the framework of 0. E. E. C. should present a report and hold themselves ready to reply to such questions as the Assembly may care to ask them regarding this report.
Also recommends that when the Committee of Ministers deals with economic questions, it should normally be supplemented or formed by Ministers representing the different members dealing with O. E. E. C.
