The Assembly,
1. Recalling its Resolution 289 on the Resolutions of the 5th Session of the European Conference of Local Authorities concerning regional planning ;
2. Having regard to the interim report of the Joint Working Party on Regional Planning,
3. Instructs the Joint Working Party on Regional Planning, comprising the Rapporteurs of the committees concerned :
(a) to pursue its study of opportunities for European co-operation in the field of town and country planning and in particular to frame proposals on the action which the Council of Europe could take ;
(b) to study ways and means of establishing a European Conference of Ministers responsible for regional planning, and the tasks which might be entrusted to it ;
(c) to draft a report on the subject "Regional Planning, a European problem", for adoption by die committees concerned and for presentation to the Assembly by a single Rapporteur to be appointed by the Bureau;
4. Invites the Political Committee to appoint a Rapporteur to represent the Committee in the Joint Working Party on Regional Planning.
