Having regard to Resolution 445 (1970), in which it instructed the Committee on Regional Planning and Local Authorities "to report to it periodically on the main problems concerning the natural environment in Europe" ; 2. Having taken note of the progress report of the Bureau, the Standing Committee and the Committee on Parliamentary and Public Relations (Doc. 3015) ; 3. Considering it advisable to hold a large-scale debate on European environment policy at the third part of the 23rd Session (January 1972), 4. Instructs the committees concerned, apart from the Committee on Regional Planning and Local Authorities, which is responsible for the substance of the report, to make an oral or written contribution to this debate on aspects of the environment according to their specific competence, and to present if possible on this occasion reports on environmental problems which have already been requested of them, in particular : - the Committee on Economic Affairs and Development, - the Committee on Social and Health Questions, - the Legal Affairs Committee, - the Committee on Science and Technology, - the Committee on Agriculture.
