The Assembly,

Having noted Resolution 30 (1962) on the United Towns Association, adopted unanimously, with ten abstentions, by the European Conference of Local Authorities on 24th March 1962,

Notes with satisfaction that the stand taken by the Assembly on the activities of the United Towns Association in its Recommendation 296 of 26th September 1961 reflects, in the actual words of the Resolution of the European Conference of Local Authorities, the feelings of the vast majority of the local authorities in member countries of the Council of Europe and all the national associations of local authorities ;

Recommends the Committee of Ministers to take appropriate action on Resolution 30 of the Conference.
