The Assembly,
Considering the report of its Committee on Economic Affairs and Development (Doc. 3233) ;
Considering the importance of the issues raised by the limits to growth controversy,
Recommends that the Committee of Ministers :
a ask its competent intergovernmental committees of experts, in particular the European Committee for the Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources, the Social Committee, the Public Health Committee and the Committee of Demographic Experts, for their opinion on the limits to growth controversy ;
b inform the Assembly of the opinion of these committees so that the Assembly can take it into account in the preparation of its final report for the spring 1974 part-session.
