This Resolution was adopted by the Assembly at its Fortieth Sitting, 11th December, 1951 (See Doc. 106, Report of the Committee on General Affairs).

The Assembly,

Having been requested by the Committee of Ministers, in accordance with Article 41 (d) of the Statute, to consider a proposal for the amendment of Article 26 of the Statute,

Reserving its right to submit at a later date a proposal of wider scope for the amendment of the distribution of seats in the Assembly,

Being desirous of immediately granting the Member States concerned the additional concessions they desire,

Approves the following text for the amendment of Article 26 of the Statute : “Article 26 shall be worded as follows :

“Members shall be entitled to the number of Representatives given below :
