The Assembly,

1. Recalling its Recommendation 411 of 28th January 1965, attached to the report of the Committee on Agriculture concerning agricultural policies in Europe ;

2. Having noted the communication (Doc. 1973) dated 23rd September 1965, in which the Committee of Ministers transmitted to it the observations of Governments in respect of the said Recommendation ;

3. Having taken cognisance of the new report (Doc. 2008) on agricultural policies submitted by its Committee on Agriculture at the present part-Session and after adopting the draft Recommendation attached thereto,

4. Welcomes the interest shown by the Committee of Ministers in Recommendation 411 (1965) on agricultural policies in Europe and the communications which it has received from Governments with regard thereto;

5. Hopes that the new report on agricultural policies (Doc. 2008) and Recommendation 452 attached thereto will be considered with the same interest and will result in fresh observations by Governments, so that the fruitful discussion of this subject between the Assembly and the Committee of Ministers in regard to agricultural policies may continue.
