Assembly debate on 27th September 1967 (12th Sitting) (see , report of the Political Committee) .

The Assembly,

1. Conscious of the historic links between the Latin-American countries and the Council of Europe member States ;

2. Desirous of discovering the conditions that would best promote the establishment of a common European policy towards Latin America,

3. Believes that contact should be established at parliamentary level between the Council of Europe's Assembly and the Latin-American statesmen best versed in the question of integration and, in particular, with the elected leaders of the Latin-American Parliament ;

4. Instructs its Political Committee, after consultation with the Economic Committee, to choose a subject and suggest arrangements for such a meeting.
