The Assembly,
2. Considering that the success of European Conservation Year depends more on the effective measures taken to ensure concerted and continuous action at both national and European level than on the number of events organised during the Year ;

4. Resolves to give a wide circulation to the Declaration on the management of the natural environment of Europe ;
5. Resolves further to take steps to secure the institution in national parliaments of a system of information on environmental problems capable of guiding the legislature in framing and passing bills on this subject ;
6. Instructs its Committee on Parliamentary and Public Relations to seek the most satisfactory means of implementing this resolution ;
7. Instructs its Committee on Regional Planning and Local Authorities to report to it periodically on the main problems concerning the natural environment of Europe.
