The Assembly,
1. Considering that every effort should be made to further the final accession or association of the EFTA countries to the European Economic Community ;
2. Bearing in mind the problems which will result in the next few years from the separate existence of two economic groups in Europe,
3. Requests the Economic Committee to examine the consequences of this situation with particular reference to whether and in what way the work and activities of EFTA could be developed on parallel lines to those of EEC in order to reduce the gap between the two groups as far as possible.
