In the draft resolution, after paragraph 23.34, insert the following paragraph:

"to put a stop to the political and economic pressure exerted by the company Gazprom by means of the price charged for natural gas sold to the countries of central and eastern Europe."

Explanatory note

The Russian Federation uses its natural resources to blackmail the countries of central and eastern Europe, for example the Republic of Moldova, in an attempt to convince them to accede to the so-called Euro-Asian Union of which Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan are members.
