Explanatory note

In Bulgaria there is no system of recognition of the ethnic minorities by the state. Everyone has the liberty of ethnic self-identification and the right to decide alone whether or not they belong to one or another minority. In Bulgaria there are several registered legal entities - NGOs of people who identify themselves as Macedonians."
