On 24 March 2014, the Commissioner for Human Rights published a report following his visit to Denmark from 19 to 21 November 2013 (CommDH(2014)4).
The report has been criticised by the Danish Minister of Justice for including errors of fact and misunderstandings which had been brought to the Commissioner’s attention before the publication of the report.
Also the Director of the Danish Institute of Human Rights has criticised the report publicly for mentioning ten-year-old cases which, according to him, give a slanted impression of racism in Denmark.
Mr Michael Aastrup Jensen,
To ask the Committee of Ministers,
What is the position of the Committee of Ministers as regards this sort of criticism towards one of the Council of Europe institutions?
