Strasbourg, 19.03.2010 – Mevlüt Çavusoglu, the President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), will make an official visit to Moldova from 22 to 25 March 2010, where he aims to promote stability and fully functioning democratic institutions, and contribute to moving the current political situation in the country forward.
In Chisinau he is due to meet the Acting President and Speaker of Parliament Mihai Ghimpu, as well as members of the government, and the heads of the different parliamentary groups and main political parties. On Thursday he will address a plenary session of the Parliament.
Mr Çavusoglu will give a joint press conference, along with Acting President Ghimpu, at 11 a.m. on Thursday 25 March (place to be confirmed).
