29/03/2011 Election observation
Strasbourg, 29.03.2011 – A five-member delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), led by Yuliya Liovochkina (Ukraine, EDG), will be in Kazakhstan from 1 to 4 April to observe the early presidential election alongside observers from the Parliamentary Assembly of the OSCE and the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) of the OSCE.
The delegation will meet the presidential candidates or their proxies, the Head of the Central Election Commission, representatives of political parties, NGOs and media, before observing the polling on 3 April.

Preliminary conclusions will be announced at a joint press conference on Monday 4 April in Astana (place and time to be confirmed).
