Marietta de Pourbaix-Lundin (Sweden, EPP/CD), rapporteur of the Political Affairs Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), will make a fact-finding visit to Athens on 25-26 November as part of the preparation of her report on “Counteraction to manifestations of neo-Nazism and xenophobia”.
During her visit, the rapporteur will meet, in particular, the President of the Hellenic Parliament, the Minister of Public Order and Citizen Protection, the Greek delegation to PACE and the Mayor of Athens. Talks are also scheduled with the Deputy Ombudsman for Human Rights, the prosecutor in charge of racist crime and with the Vice-President of the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH).
