The protection of the rights of national minorities must continue to be a political priority, according to PACE.
Approving a report by Ferenc Kalmár (Hungary, EPP/CD), the Assembly called for “unity through diversity” within and between countries.
“Minority protection is a means of conflict prevention,” the Assembly pointed out, calling on states to take a series of steps to protect minorities.
