A five-member delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), led by Tiny Kox (Netherlands, UEL), will carry out a pre-electoral mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) from 17 to 19 September, to assess the election campaign and political climate prior to the general elections on 12 October.
In Sarajevo, the delegation is due to meet the Collegium of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, leaders and representatives of parliamentary groups, the Central Election Commission, and representatives of the international community, NGOs and the media.
Meetings are also planned in Banja Luka with leaders and representatives of parliamentary groups and NGOs.
A full 30-member delegation from the Assembly will return to the country to observe the voting.

The delegation will issue a statement at the end of the visit on Friday 19 September.
