Mailis Reps (Estonia, ALDE), co-rapporteur of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) on the honouring of obligations and commitments by Ukraine, will visit the country from 24 to 28 November 2014. She will meet leading personalities on all sides to discuss constitutional, electoral and judicial reforms, the priorities of the new government and the perspectives for a solution to the current crisis.
In Kyiv, the co-rapporteur is due to meet with the President of the Republic, the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, the Prime Minister, the Minister of Justice, the Prosecutor General and the government experts responsible for drafting amendments to the Constitution. She will also meet with representatives of the international community and civil society.
She will travel to Odessa on Thursday 27 November to meet with the Governor, the Heads of the Regional SBU Office and the regional police, among others, as well as with local pro- and anti- “Maidan” organisations.
