The town of Cervia (Italy) will receive the Plaque of Honour of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe on Thursday, 26 November 2015. Ms Laura Puppato, Member of the Parliamentary Assembly will present this distinction to recognise the European efforts of this city, which is twinned with Aalen (Germany), Mahon (Spain) and Jelenia Góra (Poland).
The municipality of Cervia has set up a Department for Community Policies and Twinning Arrangements which aims at promoting and publicising European issues within the municipal administration in order to make both administrators and citizens more aware of Community policies.
