Anne Brasseur, President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), will be making an official visit to Morocco on 8-9 December.
In Rabat, meetings are planned in particular, with the Speakers of the Chamber of Representatives and the Chamber of Councillors, the Head of Government, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Co-operation, the Minister of the Interior, and the Minister in charge of Moroccans Living Abroad and Migration Affairs. She will also meet the leaders of the parliamentary groups, members of the Moroccan delegation to PACE, and the President of the National Human Rights Council.
In Fez, Ms Brasseur will have meetings with representatives of local authorities.
The Parliamentary Assembly granted Partner for Democracy Status to the Moroccan Parliament on 21 June 2011 with a view to establishing institutional co-operation.
