Pedro Agramunt, the President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), has condemned the terrorist attack on young Israeli cadets at the weekend and expressed his condolences in a letter to the Speaker of the Knesset, which holds observer status with the Assembly.
Three young women and a young man were killed in the attack – in which a truck deliberately rammed into a group of soldiers – and 17 others wounded, according to police.
“I deeply deplore this vicious terrorist attack, which has taken these young lives and wreaked such havoc. On behalf of the entire Assembly, I would like to express my sincere condolences to the families of the victims, as well as to the government and people of Israel. This cruel act leaves only heartache and anger.”
