PACE rapporteur’s visit to Rome focuses on “Youth against corruption”

Eleonora Cimbro (Italy, SOC), rapporteur for the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), will conduct a fact-finding visit to Rome on 1-2 February, in the context of the preparation of her report on “Youth against corruption”.

This visit aims to examine, in particular, the role European youth can play as an agent of change in the fight against corruption, both in public and private sectors, by bringing a new culture of integrity to all levels of society; and identify how youth could be trained to fight corruption, including through social media,

The rapporteur is due to meet, at the Chamber of Deputies, representatives of the Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR), Michele Nicoletti, Chairman of the Italian delegation to PACE, the Advisor to the National Authority on Anticorruption, and the Plenipotentiary Minister and Coordinator of the International Activity on Anticorruption, Globalisation and Global Problems to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Meetings are also scheduled with representatives of NGOs, including Transparency International Italia, ONE, and Riparte il Futuro, and with academics.
